Spiderman Unlimited

This series was made to be a spin off to the Spiderman show in 1994. Hijacking a space shuttle to help up John Jameson against Venom and Carnage, Spider-Man ends up stuck on Counter-Earth, an Earth like planet in the same orbit on other side of the sun. There he finds a high tech society where humanoid animals, the beastials, rule under the leadership of the High Evolutionary, while humans are seen as second class citizens.

And if that wasn't bad enough, Venom and Carnage are about, having their minds set on golbal domintation through the help of the Synoptic - a hivemind producing spores that turn people into it's mindless slaves.

**It is to be noted that this series ended on a cliffhanger and no more episodes have been put into production. There were six episodes that were produced for the second season, but were never aired.**

Freakazoid

AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER

n a lost age, the world is divided into four nations: the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. Within each nation, there is a remarkable order of men and women called the "benders" who can learn to harness their inborn talent and manipulate their native element. Bending is a powerful form combining martial art and elemental magic.

In each generation, only one bender is solely capable of controlling all four elements. That bender is the Avatar. The Avatar is the spirit of the world manifests in human form. When the Avatar dies, it reincarnates into the next nation in the cycle. Starting with the mastery of his or her native element, the Avatar learns to bend all four elements. Throughout the ages, the countless incarnations of the Avatar have served to keep the four nations in harmony.

Then, the firebenders attacked. Just as the world needed the Avatar the most, he mysteriously vanished. A hundred years later, the Fire Nation is near final victory in its ruthless war of world domination. The Air Nomads were destroyed, the Air Temples ravished, and all airbender monks eradicated. The Water Tribes were raided and driven to the brink of extinction. The Earth Kingdom remains and fights a hopeless war against the Fire Nation. Many believe the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads and the cycle is broken.

In the desolated South Pole, a lone Water tribe struggles to survive. It is here that the village's last remaining waterbender Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange 12-year-old boy named Aang who has been suspended in hibernation in an iceberg. The tribe soon discovers that Aang is not only an Airbender--the extinct race no one has seen in a century--but also the long lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard the child Avatar in his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

The two Riders enter Destron's base but are trapped, with a laser pointed to them. Shiro also finds the location of the base and saves the Kamen Riders, but is fatally wounded by the laser. To save his life, the Kamen Riders have no choice but to change him into a cyborg. The Kamen Riders leave Shiro on the operating table to fight the mutant Bazooka Turtle who is firing on their location. During the battle a new Kamen Rider appears, Kamen Rider V3.

Onegai Teacher

Kusanagi Kei is your typical high school student. Wearing glasses, not to popular with the girls, (he actually gets rather embarrassed around them) and unfortunately has a weak body, that tends to cause him to black out when he exerts himself too much.

The next day, he discovers that his old teacher has left the school, and Kazami Mizuho, a young beautiful teacher (with shocking pink hair!) will be taking over. And not only that, she's moving in next door? And what about that night at the lake?

Of course you can take it from there. A slight touch of fan service (not too "ecchi" so far), nice colorful animation, and a fun premise make this a show to watch out for.

Narutaru

Innocent as the first episode may make this show seem, from here on the show takes a twist to the darker side. Themes scoping from murder, suicide, and rape, the show is definitely not for the light of heart or stomach. While you might be expecting something very whimsical, that is not what's to be expected within this show. While it may carry moments of whimsy, this show is deep-seeded with very dark overtones.

One day during the spring break, Haruka saw a man standing in blue shining snow on the roof of the church. Belldandy runs out after Sora Hasegawa gets drunk with Keiichi following. As Keiichi and Belldandy are standing outside, Belldandy glances over and sees a figure approaching. He looks somewhat like a bishounen version of Keiichi, with hexagonal god markings on his face. Belldandy rushes toward him, and he pulls her into an embrace. He kisses her and she falls unconscious.

When Belldandy wakes up later, she has total memory loss. To make matters worse, the Yggdrasil System has been stricken with a virus, and they are unable to send anyone to or from Heaven to treat her. Meanwhile Sven, another sweeper who's down on his luck but still prides himself on being a gentleman, finds himself working against Black Cat on more than one occasion. He teams up with the thief Rinslet to capture Eve, but soon comes to realize that Eve is more than just a weapon.

Hands up: how many other people old enough to remember the end of the '80s have the Janet Jackson song running through their heads when they hear the title of this one?

Seriously, though, it's usually a bad sign when the title character is also the least interesting one in the show. Yeah, Train Heartnet (what kind of name is that???) has some wicked moves, the thing going with the cat, and an allegedly “cool” look, but through the first four episodes he's also lacking in personality. Even the most hard-core action heroes have to have at least something going for them in this category to be involving, but all Mr. Black Cat has is the sullen and morose loner thing, which isn't enough.

It also doesn't help matters that the concept for this Shonen Jump series is as fresh as bread past its expiration date. How many times before has the “youth trained as an expert killer and working for a secret organization” concept been done? Beyond the silly catch phrase, that aspect of the show has, so far, shown nothing new. Fortunately he doesn't have as much screen time in some episodes as the supporting cast members do, nor has that aspect been the focus thus far.

Despite their underlying problems, the first four episodes manage surprisingly well. The series' quirky sense of humor, which can often catch a viewer off guard, is certainly a contributing factor, but the supporting characters are what really make the show watchable. The sweeper Sven, with his precognitive eye, trick briefcase, and gentlemanly attitude is a truly fun and likeable character, as are the thief Rinslet (who falls in with Sven) and the confident, light-hearted yukata-clad sweeper Saya (who has various encounters with Black Cat). The way Eve, the child bioweapon, is handled is hardly new, but her interactions with Sven work well.

Gonzo proved with Gankutsuou and Desert Punk that is can still turn out great artistic efforts when it puts in its “A” game, but as the studio has proven with Speed Grapher it can stretch itself too thin to always be on its “A” game. Black Cat tends more towards the latter than the former, especially in comic moments, although it can manage some sharps scenes in close-ups. Background art is nothing to speak of, while character designs vary between sharp and distinctive (Saya) and more rough-edged (Sven, most cats). The Black Cat himself looks older than shonen heroes normally do but otherwise has a very generic shonen-leading-man appearance, and the picture of him smiling on the cover and title screen is not typical of his demeanor in the show so far. Animation quality is also erratic; capable in calmer scenes but distractingly inadequate in action scenes, where little of the movements are usually shown and motion intended to imply swiftness instead come off looking jerky. Fan service is very limited, while equipment designs don't reflect the attention to fine detail seen in many other Gonzo productions.

The musical score samples from themes one would more expect from a classic Western, especially in its lightly comic moments, but is otherwise not especially remarkable. A nice pop-rock opener features better flow of movement than is seen on most of the action scenes actually in the episodes while the closer, with its cat-art themes, is a bit lighter in tone. By far the best song in the first four episodes, though, is the lovely tune sung on the rooftops by Saya at the end of episode 1 and beginning of episode 2. It sounds equally good in Japanese or English, with the English singer mimicking the style, intonation, and singing ability of the original exactly despite entirely different lyrics.

And that's where the greatest strength of the first volume lays: in its excellent English voice work. Over the past year FUNimation has more consistently turned out quality English dubs than any other North American company, and Black Cat is just another example. Newcomer Brandon Potter, with his gravelly voice, is a real find and perfectly-cast as Sven, but he is just one of many good fits. On the whole the performances and voices in English fit the Western twang in the soundtrack a little better than the Japanese voices do, although the Japanese performances aren't by any means weak. As is also typical for a FUNi dub, the rewording is generous in the English script but never a problem. One notable discrepancy: in a few places references are made to a game of “demon-chaser” in the English dub while the subtitles translate it as a game of “tag,” but the original Japanese is clearly using the word “oni” so in this case the English script is more accurate (although “tag” was probably used because it's conceptually more familiar to Americans).

FUNimation is not normally known for shorting releases on Extras, but its first volume of this title offers only clean opener and closer to go with company trailers.

The entire first volume of Black Cat feels like it's just a set-up for the real story, but it looks like it's going down the tired “reject and escape from the organization that made you a killer” track. Still, with interesting supporting characters, solid writing, and quality voice work supporting it, the series may not fare so bad.

n volume three, Tsukihime seems to find its pace. The introductions are finally over, and the story settles in, with much more attention given to the that and the bigger picture, while still including some fast-paced battles with Arcueid showing off her vampire skills, and Shiki proving he can really use that knife.

At least the cover isn't misleading on this volume. Skiki's sister Akiha graces the front of the book, and looks none too happy about it! It is a lovely cover, albeit a little bit busy what with the criss-crossed type, with a striking red and blue color scheme. Most importantly, Akiha actually is somewhat important in this volume! She was never too likable, and while the truth about her isn't fully revealed in this volume, we are given quite a bit of hinting that she is not what she seems. This hinting is mostly done by the cover girl of volume two, Ciel, who is definitely not what she seems, and also has a more active role in this volume, finally.

Indeed, the volume practically starts with Ciel and Shiki, having a little shoujo moment in the school courtyard. That's one nice thing about this volume; volume two was very dark, focused almost entirely on the battle against Nero. Volume three has a lighter feel, and that allows the reader to get a little more attached to the characters. Sure, it is amazing that Shiki can defeat vampires of an awesome caliber, but don't you like him a bit more because he can mend a fence? He also gets in some friendly banter with his buddies, spends some time learning the layout of his home, and getting to know his personal staff.

He also moves beyond introductory status with Arcueid. The original deal was only that he would help take down Nero, but surely you owe the girl you murdered a bit more than that, right? At least, that's how Shiki tries to rationalize it. However, his actions (and one rather funny dream sequence) show that maybe he feels more for Arcueid than a sense of shame for slicing her up at the beginning of the series. In the one really dramatic battle in the volume, he actually seems to get jealous of the undead corpse trying to get friendly with Arcueid, and goes on a knife rampage over it. Romance is definitely in the forecast for these two.

Fighting is also in the forecast; apparently Nero was just a sample in a large selection of vampire baddies that Shiki and Arcueid will be facing up against as they continue their quest to destroy the Undead Apostles. In this volume, the fight is mainly against low-level minions, but they come in some pretty heavy numbers occasionally. The fighting looks good, and is easy to follow, even with the visual mess that Shiki's “death perception” causes, the actions and movements of the characters are clear.

Thankfully, the battles don't overpower the story in this volume, and a step back is taken to observe the big picture of the story. Volume two was so focused on the battle with Nero, not much else was discussed, and it felt a little claustrophobic. Everything gets a little more exposition, from the details about the vampires, to the family history that has Shiki a stranger in his own house.

The quality of the artwork is consistent with previous volumes in the series. While there is nothing groundbreaking in the art style, it is neat and clean, and precise, although Arcueid could really do with a wardrobe change after three volumes. The quality of the printing is fairly poor, however. The pages are Bible thin, making it almost impossible not to skip pages accidentally. The cover is pretty flimsy as well; it has the sturdiness of construction paper run through the school laminating machine. Speaking of school office equipment, the school copy machine might have done a better job on the printing as well; it often looks fine, but just as often the text from one page bleeds through to the backside, or blotchy shadows appear in the darker portions of panels. Content-wise, there is absolutely nothing extra, not even advertisements at the end of the book. Heck, there isn't even a synopsis on the back of the thing to tell you what it is about.

Tsukihime volume three is neither visually stunning nor a page turning read. If you were put off by the first two volumes, then you should know that it is an improvement over those as far as development and storytelling goes, but it remains a mostly mediocre, vampire hunting vampire story.

Little by little, Masahiro reveals his true power, with Mokkun as his protector and the other shikigami slowly starting to acknowledge him as Seimei`s succesor. Trying hard to become the best onmyouji, to surpass his grandfather-"the old racoon" or "tanuki"- he has to stop the foreign demons who came from China and keep his promise of protecting the princess of the Fujiwara Clan.

Characters

Masahiro Abe

A Onmyouji in training. After he met Mokkun (Touda/Guren), he decided to follow his family's foot step and started solving various mysteries occurring around him. He is friendly and kind to both youkai and people, although he is sometimes cocky and clumsy, but according to Seimei, he is the only one who can succeed him. He hates to be called "Seimei's grandson" and trains hard to surpass his grandfather.

Guren/Touda/Mokkun

Mokkun is the animal (cat/dog like creature) form of Touda named by Masahiro. Guren is the name given by Seimei, but his true name is Touda. He is one of twelve Shikigami serving Seimei. Although he teases Masahiro time to time, he cares a lot about Masahiro and he is willing to protect him with his life. In his past, for some reason he tried to kill Seimei and because of this incident Seimei's Shikigamis (like Seiryuu) doesn't seem to trust him. It is also mentioned that Guren is one of most feared summon Gods, and from this it is said that Masahiro, who doesn't fear Guren, is compatible to be Seimei's successor.

Abe no Seimei/Seimei Abe (young&old)

Greatest Onmyouji in in the history of Japan (He is real life Onmyouji). Grandfather of Masahiro Seimei. He has Twelve shikigami under his command and is able to transfer his soul (which is in his younger form) outside of his old aged body, but this makes his body vulnerable. He teases Masahiro to push him further in his journey (which is kind of like a reverse psychology) and helps him out when he is in trouble. Masahiro calls Seimei "Old raccoon" when he is angry after Seimei's lecture/teasing of Masahiro's performance.

The legendary Eien no Shikaku (永遠の刺客, Eien no Shikaku? lit. Eternal Assassin), Akizuki Yōjirō is the bearer of the legendary sword, Getsuruitō (月涙刀, Getsuruitō? lit. Sword of Lunar Tears), tasked with the quest of utilizing its blade to destroy the Hasha no Kubi (覇者の首, Hasha no Kubi? lit. Head of the Conqueror), a supernatural object said to appear during times of unrest and revolution. Akizuki was once a close confidante, friend and bodyguard of the late Sakamoto Ryōma, whose assassination he failed to prevent and which continues to haunt him to the current day. During the midst of his quest to destroy the Hasha no Kubi, he visits Yokohama and happens to meet the Yuyama troupe, an adventuring kabuki group, and its leader Yuyama Kakunojō. While in the city, Akizuki senses the aura of the Hasha no Kubi within an auction held in the Shanghai Club, soon breaking through its confines in attempting to cut it in half; however, even if its head appeared to have been cut, the spirit of the elusive Hasha no Kubi was not destroyed and still remains, with Akizuki continuing in his quest to find and destroy it.

Yuyama Kakunojō (遊山赫乃丈, )?, (Seiyū: Rina Satō)

A young woman and leader of the Yuyama troupe, Kakunojō's parents, shipping and wholesale merchants, were murdered by Hario Genba as part of the Ansei Purges for being a staunch suppporter for the Emperor, when she was still a young child, and was saved from death in the same incident by the brave actions of her late father's acquaintance, Zagashira, and apprentice, Ebisu. With her home destroyed in the same fire, Kakunojō, along with Zagashira and Ebisu, formed the Yuyama troupe and visit various regions around the country, to seek Hario, those who murdered her parents and exact revenge upon them. Their group was soon joined by Ibaragi Sōtetsu, an intelligent playwright, and later by Shiranui Kozo and Kakashi no Keishin, both of whom were attracted to the group's ideals.

Ibaragi Sōtetsu (茨木蒼鉄, )?, (Seiyū: Kazuhiko Inoue)

The extremely intelligent playwright of the Yuyama troupe, Ibaragi Sōtetsu is respected by each member of the group, who call him Sensei.

Kanna Sakyōnosuke (神無左京之介, )?, (Seiyū: Kousuke Toriumi)

Born in London to a British royal navy vice admiral father and a Japanese mother, formerly a tayū in Yoshiwara, Kanna Sakyōnosuke is tasked with being the bodyguard of Katsu Kaishu, as part of a request from H.S. Parkes, the head of British mission in Yokohama, and is an extremely talented fighter, armed with two guns, each of the Remington New Model Army Conversion type.

Shiranui Kozo (不知火小僧, )?, (Seiyū: Junichi Suwabe)

An actor of the Yuyama troupe under the stage name Yuyama Seijūrō, Shiranui joined the group after one of Sōtetsu's plays saved him from being executed. He slept with a policeman's wife. The police killed his wife and framed him for murder. He enjoys visiting the red-light district.

Kotoha (琴波, )?, (Seiyū: Mie Sonozaki)

A tayū, highest rank of the oiran, who is the most famed and influential of the Sekkakurō, a pleasure house located in the Yukaku, Yokohama's pleasure quarters. She rivals the famous Yokohama oiran of the time Kiyu from Gankurō. Her influential clientèle include Katsu Kaishu and H.S. Parkes. Kotoha is also a staunch supporter of the Yuyama troupe, and during a discussion with Sōtetsu, arranged for the group to perform during a night at the Sekkakurō.

Ebisu no Zukin (恵比須の頭巾, )?, (Seiyū: Masashi Yabe)

One of the actors of a troupe, Ebisu was an apprentice of Kakunojō's household, who had treated him very well. When the household was being burnt and Kakunojō's parents were murdered before his very eyes by Hario Genba as part of the Ansei Purges, Ebisu attempted to protect Kakunojō, and while doing so, he was burnt by the resulting fire, forced to li

ve the rest of his life with bandages covering his face and body.

Kakashi no Keishin (案山子の恵信, )?, (Seiyū: Kenji Nomura)

The strongman of the Yuyama troupe, Kakashi is a good-hearted person who joined the group for a similar reason to Shiranui.

Zagashira (座頭, )?, (Seiyū: Takashi Nagasako)

Zagashira simply means the head of the troop. His real name remains unknown. The manager of the Yuyama troupe, Zagashira looks after the group's accounts. He used to work Kakunojō's father, Zagashira saved Kakunojō from the fire that destroyed her household.

Benimaru (紅丸, )?, (Seiyū: Etsuko Kozakura)

One of the child actors of the Yuyama troupe, Benimaru, along with Kobako, was saved by Akizuki from a near fatal incident, and are both grateful to him for saving their lives.

Kobako (こばこ, )?, (Seiyū: Yuki Matsuoka)

One of the child actors of the Yuyama troupe, Kobako, along with Benimaru, was saved by Akizuki from a near fatal incident, and are both grateful to him for saving their lives.

Saigō Takamori (西郷隆盛, )?, (Seiyū: Hiromi Sugino)

The chief of staff of the newly formed fully modernized Imperial Army (or the new government army) and a samurai from Satsuma. Under the authority of Prince Arisugawa, he was in charge of capturing Edo where the 15th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu resides. Saigo Takamori is a firm believer in the privileges of the samurai class.

Katsu Kaishū (勝海舟, )?, (Seiyū: Shouto Kashii)

The chief of staff of the Shogun's Edo army and a native of Edo city. He was working desperately to avoid bloodshed in Edo. With support from the British and French representatives, he arranged a meeting with Saigo Takamori in Edo to negotiate for peace on behalf of the Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu. He was formerly the Navy Magistrate of the Shogun's Navy. Kaishu was mentor to Sakamoto Ryōma (who initially attempted to kill him, however, instead became his bodyguard).

Sakamoto Ryōma (坂本龍馬, )?, (Seiyū: Kōichi Yamadera)

A famous liberal and progressive samurai from Tosa, Sakamoto Ryōma was greatly respected by Akizuki, who was his bodyguard and close confidante. Sakamoto negotiated an alliance between Choshu-han and Satsuma-han, two Imperialist clans who had traditionally been bitter rivals towards each other; However, he was later assassinated in a Kyoto inn in 1867.

Nakaiya Jūbē (中居屋重兵衛, )?, (Seiyū: Tetsuo Komura)

A mysterious Yokohama merchant formely known as Kuroiwa Sennosuke, Nakaiya Jūbē was presummed to be dead after the fire at his company headquarters the Bronze Palace in 1861. Nakaiya Jūbē mysterious reappear in 1868 in a secret auction inside the Shanghai Club trying to sell the Head of the Conqueror. He sent Hario Genba to protect Kawai Tsuginosuke and the Gatling guns the latter bought during the same auction. Nakaiya seems to know about the Ansei Purges, and is well acquainted with British merchant T.B. Glover, from whom he acquires his weapons.

Hario Genba (針尾玄藩, )?, (Seiyū: Hiromi Sugino)

A swordsman who murdered Kakunojō's parents and attempted to kill her, whose face was forever to be remembered by Ebisu. Hario is a bearer of the ancient Jiwari-ken technique of swordsmanship, which attempts to create a continuous fissure within the earth's surface as a result of the vertical movement of one's sword, but which is stopped with the application of water within its path. He later serves in Yokohama as Kawai Tsuginosuke's bodyguard, as ordered by Nakaiya Jūbē, and is instantly recognized by Ebisu, who moves to inform the rest of the troupe and later traces him to an underground auction held in the Shanghai Club, where Hario had been accompanying Kawai. After witnessing Akizuki's attempt to destroy the Hasha no Kubi, Hario becomes very intrigued with Akizuki and attempts to find and kill him the next day, to the extent of even ignoring his job to protect Kawai and his Gatling guns. Later, Hario is cornered by Akizuki and the Yuyama troupe in the midst of a sun-brazen wheat field, and when they attempt to kill him, a sniper, Saiga Magozō, sent by Nakaiya, attempts to shoot him, and Hario soon dies.

Kawai Tsuginosuke (河井継之助, )?, (Seiyū: Takeharu Onishi)

A retainer of the Nagaoka clan in North East Japan, Kawai Tsuginosuke arrives in Yokohama to purchase two Gatling guns in order to ensure the armed neutrality between the Shogunate and Imperial forces that had maintained by the Nagaoka clan.

Saiga Magozō (雑賀孫蔵, Saiga Magozō?)

A sniper working for Nakaiya Jūbē, Saiga Magozō is first seen firing a critical shot at Hario Genba, as per Nakaiya's orders. He is a descendent of the Saiga Ikki warrior clan, who once rebelled against Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period.

Koma no Shōten-sama (高麗の聖天様, )?, (Seiyū: Kousei Yagi)

A well-respected high priest of the village of Koma-no-Sato in modern day Saitama Prefecture. He is a direct descendent of the 3000 men and women mission led by Xu Fu, the immortal mage to seal and dispose the Head of the Conqueror in Japan. He enjoys good food and simple village life.

H.S. Parkes (H･S･パークス, )?, (Seiyū: Tomomichi Nishimura)

The head ofthe British mission in Yokohama. He arranges for Kanna Sakyōnosuke to be the bodyguard of Katsu Kaishu.

T.B. Glover (T･B・グラバー, )?, (Seiyū: Tōru Ōkawa)

A Scottish arms merchant and industrialist based in Nagasaki. He works closely with Nakaiya Jūbē and often supplies him weapons, including Saiga's sniping rifle.

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle (ツバサ-RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-, Tsubasa: Rezaboa Kuronikuru?), also known as Chronicle of the Wings, is a manga by CLAMP which is running in Shonen Magazine in Japan. Tsubasa means a wing or wings in Japanese.

Currently still in the process of being written, Tsubasa is published by Kodansha in Japan, and the fourteenth volume came out in April, 2006 in both hardcover and paperback versions. In North America, the series is licensed for translation into English by Del Rey Manga, and in Singapore it is published in both English and simplified Chinese by Chuang Yi.

An anime adaptation, Tsubasa Chronicle, has finished its first two seasons, with a third airing in April, 2007[1]. It was broadcast by the anime television network, Animax across its networks within Southeast Asia and South America in English, Spanish and other languages. The first season and movie are licensed for release in North America by FUNimation Entertainment[2].

Plot summary

Ghostly wings appear on her back and a mysterious force begins to pull her into the walls of the ruins. Syaoran rescues her in time, but her wings are scattered across dimensions. The High Priest of Clow Country, Yukito, immediately realizes that Sakura's "wings" were the manifestation of her soul and memories; without her wings, she will die. In order to save Sakura, Syaoran must journey to retrieve Sakura's lost memories.

Yukito sends Syaoran and the unconscious Sakura to the Time-Space Witch, Yūko, who is one of the main characters in xxxHOLiC. There he meets Kurogane, a rough-mannered ninja banished from his world by Princess Tomoyo, and Fay D. Flourite (as spelled in CLAMP's official guide or "Fai" as translated by Del Rey), a magician who fled his world to avoid King Ashura. Each of them must pay with what he values most in order to gain the power to cross dimensions. For Kurogane, it is his sword Ginryū, and for Fay, it is the tattoo on his back which regulates his control of his magic. (Fay later reveals that he still possesses magic, but has sworn not to use it without the tattoo on his back.) Syaoran, on the other hand, must pay with his relationship with Sakura: even if he is able to retrieve all of her memories, she will never remember anything about him or their relationship. (This sacrifice also pays Sakura's "toll" to Yūko, because what Sakura values most are her memories of and with Syaoran.) Only when the three agree to her terms does Yūko present them with the power to cross dimensions; a white creature named Mokona Modoki.

While traversing through worlds to find Sakura's feathers, the four travellers and Mokona are forced to overcome many dangers and opponents, some of whom are figures from Syaoran's past who wish to collect Sakura's feathers for their own reasons as they are seen to be objects that hold great power.

Note that because of the crossover characters with xxxHOLiC, some of the plot points of the two mangas occasionally intertwine with each other.

Tsubasa Chronicle

Tsubasa Chronicle (ツバサ・クロニクル, Tsubasa Kuronikuru?), also known as Chronicle of the Wings, is a Japanese anime TV series adapted from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. The first season aired Saturday nights on NHK from April 9, 2005 to October 15, 2005. The second season began on April 29, 2006 and concluded on November 4, 2006. It was broadcast by the anime television network, Animax, across its networks within Southeast Asia and South America in English, Spanish and other languages.

The first season contains 26 episodes and the second season (also the final season) also contains 26 episodes, making the whole series total 52 episodes.

A movie, Tsubasa Chronicle the Movie: The Princess of the Country of Birdcages (劇場版ツバサ・クロニクル鳥カゴの国の姫君 , Gekijōban Tsubasa Kuronikuru Torikago no Kuni no Himekimi?), was released in Japanese theaters on August 20, 2005 in conjunction with xxxHOLiC Manatsu no Yoru no Yume. The DVD of the movie was released on February 25, 2006. The movie also crosses over with the XXXHOLiC movie.

Characters
Main characters

Syaoran: The hero of the story. A crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura. He (at this point) does not have any magical power, but is an excellent martial artist and an aspiring archaeologist with extensive knowledge of various languages, histories, and artifacts. His right eye is blind; sometimes, in mysterious dreams, he can see out of the eye and look at a person he does recognize as himself in endless mirrors. Syaoran was found in his childhood wandering the streets without a memory, before he was discovered and adopted by the man he now calls father (Sakura's father in Card Captor Sakura), who recently passed away, leaving his foster son to continue his great work. He obtained his sword Hien during his stay at Ōto, which he learned to use from Kurogane, and learned his fighting abilities from now-enemy Seishirō, who can also travel between worlds and says he is looking for vampires.

Sakura: The Princess of Clow Country. Sakura is a cheerful, selfless, and stronghearted being. She states if there was ever something that she could do, she would try her absolute best. She possesses a mysterious power, namely her "wings" that can actually change the world, though it will still be a while before anyone understands what that means. Her wings are the manifestation of her soul, namely her heart and memories. She is targeted by Fei Wong for that very power. After losing her memories, Syaoran gave up their relationship in order to save her. Meaning, even if she regains all of her memories, the one that she would never retrieve would be the knowledge of Syaoran's existence. Her main goal is to get back all of her memories and return home. A crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura.

Kurogane: A rough-mannered ninja from the world of Nihon (Japan), exiled for his recklessness. He originally possessed the blade Ginryū before giving it to Yūko as price for his deal with her. He obtained a new sword in Ōto called the Sōhi, and taught Syaoran the skills of sword fighting and sensing attacks from the right. Kurogane is an original character and is not from any other Clamp work.

Fay D. Flourite: He's a laid-back mage from the Country of Celes. He is on the run from King Ashura (a crossover from RG Veda), whom he put into a near-eternal slumber. Although he seems happy-go-lucky and pretends to know less than he does, there is more than meets the eye. His assistant in Celes, currently guarding against the awakening of Ashura, is a very organic-looking Chii from the series Chobits. In chapters 125 and 126 Fay is turned into a vampire at Kurogane's request, to save his life after Syaoran stole his left eye and half his magic. Because he drank Kurogane's blood mixed with the vampire Kamui's, he is able to feed only from him. Fay is an original character and is not from any other Clamp work.

Mokona: A creature given to Syaoran, Fai and Kurogane by the Time-Space Witch in exchange for their most-valued possessions. Whichever world he/she (there are no actually gendered pronouns for Mokona) finds himself in, Mokona can contact his sibling Black Mokona. Both were created by Clow Reed and Ichihara Yūko after having met Mokona from Magic Knight Rayearth. In chapter 133 of Tsubasa, it is revealed that the two Mokonas were created by Yūko and Clow to help prevent the wish Fei Wong wanted to happen.

Secondary characters

Syaoran: Kept asleep in a liquid chamber at Fei Wong Reed's palace, with his left eye covered by a piece of cloth, his hands and arms by binding spells and wearing clothes marking Fei Wong Reed's bat symbol. In fact, this Syaoran is the original while the Syaoran at Sakura's side is only a clone that Fei Wong Reed created. This Syaoran is of Clow Reed's bloodline and can thus use magic and gave an exact copy of his heart to his clone, Syaoran, to stop Fei Wong's plan temporarily. He was depicted as a villain (it was believed that he was controlling the clone's actions, when it was only the clone's true nature showing) until it was discovered that the main character, Syaoran, was a clone.

Yūko Ichihara: Also known as the Dimension Witch or the Space-Time Witch, who resides in modern day Japan. She owns a shop in xxxHOLiC, which can grant people their wishes if they in pay the equivalent price. She works against Fei Wong Reed.

Seishirō: A mysterious traveler from Syaoran's past who also gained the power to travel between worlds from Yūko. He is currently searching for the vampire twins and, like his younger brother, he is a treasure hunter, not a vampire hunter like originally believed. His abilities include summoning Oni to fight for him. He is able to perform these abilities with the help one of Sakura's feathers, which Syaoran failed to retrieve in their encounter in Ōto country. An experienced fighter, Seishirō was also the one to teach Syaoran his kicking technique. He is a crossover character from Tokyo Babylon and X/1999.

Subaru: One half of the vampire twins that Seishirō is hunting and seems to be the only one that Seishirō is interested in. Upon arriving in the world 'Tokyo', Subaru fell asleep and does not awaken until Syaoran and his friends arrive. He is the protagonist of the manga Tokyo Babylon and also plays an important role in X/1999.

Kamui: The other half of the vampire twins that Seishirō is hunting. His true identity is revealed when he attacks Syaoran's clone in an attempt to use his blood to awaken Subaru. Kamui is originally the protagonist in the manga X/1999. He and Subaru gained the power to traverse dimensions as twins from Yūko. It should be noted that Kamui was not Subaru's twin in Tokyo Babylon, they were not even the same age. Subaru had a twin sister named Hokuto.

Fūma: Seishirō's younger brother, who is also a treasure hunter and apparent leader of the people of the Tower. He arrived in 'Tokyo' four years earlier along with a feather of Sakura's. Little is known about him right now, but he does seem to have an interest in Kamui and he seems to be friends with Yūko, for whom he retrieves items for whenever he traverses to different dimensions. He is also the antagonist in X/1999.

Princess Tomoyo: The princess of a feudal country called Japan/Nihon who sends the ninja Kurogane on the quest that causes him to join the dimension travelers. Tomoyo is a powerful miko sorceress responsible for maintaining the wards of Nihon that protect the country from demons. She is also a yumemi (dreamseer) with the ability to see into other people's dreams. Another incarnation of her appears in Piffle World. A crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura.

King Ashura: The King of Celes, who has a connection with Fay. Fay places Ashura in an enchanted sleep at the beginning of Tsubasa and transforms Chi to serve as Ashura's guard. Ashura is the reason why Fay seeks to travel to multiple dimensions and avoid returning to Celes, but the reason why Fay sealed him in the first place and why Fay fears Ashura's awakening has yet to be revealed. King Ashura is a crossover character from RG Veda and is not be mistaken as another crossover character from RG Veda, Ashura-ō, who is this Ashura's son in RG Veda. (Ashura-ō means King Ashura and is a title also used as a name in RG Veda, which both of these characters bear, though there the son is usually referred to as "Ashura".)

Clow Reed: The sorcerer who is tied to the storyline, but does not appear directly as he is already deceased before the story begins. A crossover character from Cardcaptor Sakura. He and Yūko appear to have had a strained relationship. Another incarnation, who is also deceased before the story begins, is the father of the Sakura and Tōya of Tsubasa.

Villains

Fei Wong Reed: A mysterious and powerful villain who is after Sakura's feathers. He is later revealed to be a direct ancestor of Clow Reed and well aware of the powers of the Dimension Witch. He was the one who imprisoned the "real" Syaoran and created the Syaoran who is the protagonist of Tsubasa. Though he already possesses the power to cross dimensions like the High Priest of Clow and Princess Tomoyo, he seeks the power of Sakura's wings, which surpasses the power of all who can cross dimensions, and the power that lies under the ruins of the Clow Country in order to "To bring back a dream that has already ended". He does not care on how much blood has to be shed to get that power; those he has killed (or arranged to be killed) include Kurogane's mother. His true objective not to obtain Sakura's feathers; rather, the scattering Sakura's memories was to provide a motive that would force her to travel between dimensions to recover them and attain the physical memories Sakura gains through her powers as she visits various dimensions. Therefore the scattering of memories and having the TRC trio accompany Sakura on her journey was a pre-planned situation created by Fei Wong in order for him to attain his "wish".

Xing Huo: Fei Wong's assistant. Not much about her is known besides the fact she is Fei Wong's assistant and was somewhat also a "failed creation". However, as the story progresses her character has more depth. In Volume 15 of the manga she helps the real Syaoran go to Yūko after he awakened (Volume 10 of xxxHOLiC), but stated she can only do it once. Her reason to him was because "If the dream does not end." She is killed by Fei Wong shortly afterwards.

Kyle Rondart: An agent of Fei Wong Reed, first introduced in Jade country as the good doctor who was helping the village with their problems around the time the children started vanishing. He seems kind and sincere at first, but we later find out that through hypnotism he was the one that sends the children (most of them his patients) to the old castle to dig out Sakura's feather. He re-appears in Piffle World as the very same person, knowing that Syaoran and his friends will likely assume he is just another incarnation of himself. In Piffle World he tries to sabotage the race to get Sakura's feather, but later escapes without it.

The Strongest Bride on Earth

The main character, Inuzuka Koshi, was born in a martial arts family, but he dislikes violence and he wants to become a prosecutor. One day, the strongest martial artist, Kuzuryu Momoko comes in order to bear him the strongest child.

Busou Renkin (OnGoing)

Muto Kazuki saves a girl being attacked by a monster by pushing her out of the way before it attacks, and dies. The next morning he is fine, and brushes the whole thing off as a dream. However, he meets the monster again. Right before he is about to die (again) the girl from his dream shows up. After escaping grave danger she explains to him that the monster is a Homunculus made by alchemy. She also tells him that there is a Kakugane, or alloy made by alchemy, in his chest where his heart should be. The Kakugane grants him the power to fight the Homunculus.

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (ongoing)

When the Edo period ended, so did the feat of Samurai. The symbolized power behind a sword was no long needed, because the town was at peace. However, when Western invaders start to overrun the area, the people seek a different source of power. Those that seek the Hasha no Kubi (Head of Conqueror) can rule the world, but that's not all, there's another existance: Eternal Assassin which counters the produce of Hasha no Kubi.

Super Sentai World

In every Sentai show, the fight between good and evil is illustrated, with the good side winning most of the time. The basic premise of the series is that a group of (usually) five people gain special powers (magical or technological), wear colored outfits, and use advanced weapons and martial arts skills to battle powerful beings from other planets and/or dimensions threatening to take over the Earth. In most of the episodes, after the team has beaten an army of evil creatures ("grunts") and the "monster of the week", they call for huge robotic vehicles/animals ("mechas") that can combine to form one giant robot to fight an enlarged version of the monster. Sentai series with the giant robot element are specifically known as Super Sentai. Each Sentai is set in a different fictional universe, with the exception of specials that feature a teaming up with the previous Sentai.

The first Sentai series, Himitsu Sentai Goranger, was created by the late Shotaro Ishinomori, creator of Kamen Rider and Cyborg 009 in 1975. He did not create any further Sentai series after his second, J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, wasn't received well. These two series were not a part of the Super Sentai series until 1994 when TOEI decided to include them with the series that followed.

The third Sentai series, Battle Fever J (1979), is the first Super Sentai show (on account of it being the first to have a giant robot that the heroes ride - the past two shows only had vehicles).

The term sentai is also occasionally used to describe shows with similar premises, such as Voltron, or even the magical girl team in Sailor Moon. However, this definition was never official for these types of shows. In 2003, Sailor Moon was retold in a fashion somewhat similar to Sentai shows in the form of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. While not officially Sentai, some fans of the genre have accepted it as such.

Kamen Rider Amazon

A plane crashes in the Amazon rainforest, leaving young Daisuke Yamamoto stranded without his parents. Soon adopted by a native tribe, Yamamoto becomes a modern day Tarzan, living off the land. However, Yamamoto's idyllic existence is cut short when Gorgos, the Ten Faced Demon, massacres his village, slaughtering everyone except himself. Gorgos is seeking the powerful "GiGi Bracelet", which gives the bearer fantastic power. A witch doctor in the village, sensing the trouble, retrieves the bracelet and gives it to Yamamoto for safekeeping. He then uses his knowledge of Incan science and magic to perform a mystical "operation" on Yamamoto, transforming him into the powerful "Kamen Rider Amazon."

Yamamoto then travels to Japan, where he meets a professor who knew his father. Soon, the minions of Gorgos catch up to Yamamoto, murdering the professor. During the process, Yamamoto saves a young boy named Masahiko, who obliges to teach Amazon (as Masahiko dubs Yamamoto) the ways of the world. Amazon soon receives the "Jungler", his motorcycle. Amazon also partners up with Mogura-Juujin, a former henchman of Gorgos, after Amazon rescues him from execution. Together, the two of them face off against Gorgos himself, eventually destroying him in an atomic blast. However, the "GaGa Bracelet", the counterpart of the GiGi, then falls into the hands of the Garander Empire, led by the ruthless Emperor Zero. Amazon continues his fight against evil, eventually toppling the Garander empire and retrieving both bracelets.

His mission now complete, Amazon ventures off to travel the world.

Kamen Rider Stronger

Shigeru Jou (城茂 Jō Shigeru), played by Shigeru Araki, joins the evil organisation Black Satan after the death of a close friend, one whom he considered his mentor. Promised power, and fueled by a desire for revenge, he undergoes surgery to become one of Black Satan's super warriors. However, Jou knows that Black Satan were in fact the murderers of his friend; he was using Black Satan in order to gain new powers. The newly powered up Jou escapes from the Black Satan headquarters before they can brainwash him into following their campaign of evil.

Frustrated, Black Satan scientists devise a plan to capture and kill the warrior they have just created, along with continuing the goal they've had all along—world domination. Jou plans on fighting back in his new form, called Kamen Rider Stronger. While escaping from Black Satan, Stronger meets Yuriko Misaki (played by Kyoko Okada) another cyborg warrior created by Black Satan. They team up, with Misaki now becoming Electro Wave Human Tackle. The two eventually meet Tachibana Tôbei as well.

Stronger, Tackle, and Tachibana fight valiantly against the evil cyborg forces of Black Satan, continually meeting the head agents General Shadow, and the One-Eyed Titan. The Titan is defeated in episode 13, but manages to return in episode 17 as the One-Hundred Eyed Titan, posing an even greater threat than before. Despite sharing the similar goals of defeating Stronger and conquering the world, General Shadow and the Titan cannot seem to agree on a few other issues—for instance, which one of them gets to kill Stronger. Often, their bickering inadvertently allows him to escape their wrath.

In episode 26, Stronger is able to topple Black Satan once and for all. With his former organization in ruins, General Shadow forms the "Delza Army" to continue his malicious goals. There were two further defining moments for the series: first, in episode 30, Tackle sacrifices herself to save Stronger from Doctor Kate, a Delza Army general. Her death affects Stronger greatly, and he vows to keep fighting until evil is defeated. Tackles' death is sometimes compared to Riderman's sacrifice in Kamen Rider V3. In the following episode, Stronger's fight against evil is greatly assisted when he undergoes surgery and gains a devastating new power—the ability to power up into a new, stronger, form—"Charge Up!".

Ultimately, all the former Riders, Kamen Riders 1, 2 from the original Kamen Rider, V3 from Kamen Rider V3, X from Kamen Rider X, and Amazon from Kamen Rider Amazon, all appear in the final few episodes to help Stronger finally defeat the Delza Army and General Shadow. This sequence of episodes has attracted some praise from fans

Kamen Rider Black

After being kidnapped by the cult Gorgom in the night of their 19th birthday, step-brothers Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki were submitted to a mutant surgery with the purpose of becoming the candidates for the next Gorgom's Century King. Kotaro escaped before the brainwashing, with help from his foster father, and turned against Gorgom. He soons finds out the horrific truth from his step-father: Gorgom originally killed his true parents and, since both Kotaro and Nobuhiko were born on the day of a solar eclipse, referred as "Black Sun" and "Shadow Moon". Kotaro, taking on the name of Kamen Rider BLACK, was determined to rescue his step-brother from Gorgom while protecting Japan. However, later in the series, Nobuhiko emerged as Shadow Moon to fight Kotaro with the survivor becoming the next Century King.

In the distant future, because of the inter planet war that has continued for centuries, the civilization has ruined. Human being has lost every thing, and the population decreased to 1/5. Pseudo-human, “The Third”, is said to have appeared just after the war. They have red pupils called “Space Eyes”. Using them, they can control computer systems and so on, and rule the world by their superior power.

In this world, there is a girl, Honoka. She is a jack-of-all-trades, and she accepts any order except murder. One day, she happens to find a young Ikus in the desert. When she accepts the order from him, her great adventure begins.

Stratos 4 Advance Ova

The attack of a swarm of comets finished, and the four girls, Mikaze, Karin, Ayamo, and Shizuha flew into the space riding in Stratos 4, which used to be Stratos Zero. They accidentally protected the Earth from the collision of the large comet Nigel 87. However, when they came back to Shimojijima Base, they began to spend days of training and part-time jobs as they used to do. Because the attack of the comets stopped for a while, they recovered normal lives. In these days, Chizuru and Annette, who are Comet Blasters, visited them.

Synopsis :

Re-l Mayer is an inspector of the Intelligence Agency and granddaughter of Romdeau's leader. Romdeau is the only domed paradise city left in the world, all its inhabitants are closely monitored by the Security Bureau and encouraged (or brainwashed) to become the 'perfect citizen'. The citizens also have Auto-raves which are humanistic robots that help citizens in everyday life. Personal auto-rave assistants also called entourages offer consultation and even tell citizens how to act in this tightly state controlled environment.

During a top secret experiment something goes wrong and escapes into the city. There are reports of auto-raves infected with a new Cogito virus that become self aware and turn on their human masters. While investigating these infections and murders, Re-l finds something more dark and sinister...
