In the distant future, the popularity of basketball as a sport has spread far across the universe leading to the creation of a Space League. However, no Earthlings play in the League, which is dominated by aliens with superior physical abilities. Worrying about the future of Earth basketball, a mysterious old guy, Yoshimune, decides to found the strongest basketball team ever seen on Earth. To accomplish his plan, a scout visits the slum where the main character, Hideyoshi, is living. Hideyoshi, though only 14 years old, is instantly selected because of his outstanding talent.
