A mad bomber is on the loose and it seems that he wants to get revenge on our favorite teenage detective. The film begins with Shinichi getting an invitation to a garden party held by a famous architect. Since Sinichi cannot attend ( for obvious reasons ) he asks Ran to go in his stead, taking her father and Conan. Unfortunately ( for Conan ) Ran refuses to go unless Shinichi agrees to meet her for a date.
As if this isn't enough stress in our hero's life, a madman seems ntent on planting bombs all over town and he doesn't care how many innocents he murders. He contacts Shinichi/Conan and tests the detective's deductive powers by giving him clues to find the bombs before they go off.
Eventually Shinichi/Conan discovers the identity of the bomber, but the most powerful bomb is still out there. Will he be in time to disarm it and save Ran's life?
